Women's Volleyball Drops Second Straight Heart Match

The Culver-Stockton women's volleyball team dropped its second consecutive Heart of America Athletic Conference match, falling to Grand View University Saturday afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Vikings has nearly double the number of kills and won in three sets, 25-21, 25-12, 25-20. Grand View had 51 kills in the match compared to just 26 for the Wildcats.

Zoe Irvin continues to shine offensively, collecting 11 kills and committing just two errors on 23 attempts for a hitting percentage of .391. Victoria Pollard was the next highest attacker with just four kills.

C-SC did have two players reach double figures in digs with Jaysie Baez registering a team-high 12 digs on the back line. Pollard was also in double figures with 10 digs. 

The Wildcats, now 4-5 overall and 0-2 in the Heart, is scheduled to play its home opener this Tuesday, Sept. 9, against 11th-ranked Missouri Baptist University. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Charles Field House.
