Women's Soccer Loses Non-Conference Road match at Columbia
Columbia College scored four first half goals en route to a 4-0 non-conference victory over the Culver-Stockton women's soccer team Wednesday night at R. Marvin Owens Field in Columbia, Mo.
The Cougars netted three goals on three straight shots in a three minute, 18 second span of the first half, and then added a fourth goal12 minutes later to get comfortably ahead at the intermission.
The Wildcats were held to three total shots overall with Lola Weise and Samantha Stone recording the only two shots on goal. Columbia registered 20 shots in the game, including 14 shots on frame.
Junior goalkeeper Sam Link played the second half for the Wildcats, holding the Cougars scoreless and stopping all seven shots on goal.
C-SC (5-6-1) returns to conference play this Saturday, Oct. 4, when they travel to Baldwin City, Kan., to face Baker University in a Heart of America Athletic Conference contest. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.
