No. 2 Bethel Runs Away from Wildcats in Atrium Classic Finale
The Culver-Stockton College women's basketball team suffered an 86-60 loss to second-ranked Bethel (Tenn.) University in the final game the Atrium Classic Sunday afternoon at Charles Field House.
Despite shooting 48 percent (10-21) from the 3-point stripe, the Wildcats were unable to stay with the more athletic and physical Bethel team which shot 51 percent from be field and outscored the hosts 22-4 at the foul line.
Avery Oetting led the C-SC offensive output with 15 points, shooting 6-for-10 from the field, including 2-for-4 from the land of three. Misora Nambara added 13 points and a team-best six rebounds and five assists.
C-SC (1-1) returns to action this Thursday, Oct. 30, when it is slated to host regional rival Hannibal-LaGrange University at Charles Field House. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
