Men's Volleyball Swept by No. 3 Park University
The Culver-Stockton men's volleyball team could not provide enough firepower to overcome third-ranked Park University Friday night in Parkville, Mo.
The Wildcats were much better in their hitting attack Friday than they were in Tuesday's loss to UHSP, but couldn't keep pace with the Pirates in a 25-20, 25-19, 25-14 setback at the Brecklin Center.
C-SC, which had nine more attack errors than kills against UHSP, registered 26 kills against just 13 attack errors Friday against Park for a .188 hitting percentage. Unfortunately, the Pirates registered a .447 attack percentage with 46 kills on just 12 errors and 76 attempts.
Cooper Varner led the Wildcats with eight kills while Clyde Harold had six terminations. Matt Reese had 12 of the Wildcats' 24 set assists.
C-SC is back in action on Saturday, March 14, when they host Avila University in a non-conference match at Charles Field House. Game time is slated for 6 p.m.
