Wildcat Netters End Non-Conference Slate with Victory over UHSP

The Culver-Stockton women's volleyball team easily dispatched Health Science and Pharmacy (UHSP) in the Wildcats' final non-conference match of the season Tuesday night at Charles Field House.

The Wildcats registered an overall attack percentage of .295, committing just 11 hitting errors on 105 attempts while recording 42 terminations in the 25-19, 25-14, 25-16 straight set victory.

Senior Zoe Irvin led the charge with 13 kills and just two errors for a .393 attack percentage. Faith Hopgood and Layla Lojas each garnered seven kills, while Victoria Pollard chipped in with six terminations.

Pollard and Lojas also had good service games with three and two service aces, respectively, while Lauren Bloom set the table with 22 assists in the match.

Defensively, the Wildcats put three players in double figures in digs with Jaysie Baez leading the pack with 12 digs. Pollard totaled 11 digs, while Lojas garnered 10 digs. Up front, C-SC had five team blocks with Hopgood recording three block assists.

The Wildcats (9-20) will conclude the 2025 season this weekend with a pair of Heart of America Athletic Conference matches at home. On Friday night, C-SC faces Baker University at 7 p.m., and then on Saturday, C-SC will celebrate senior night with a match against Benedictine College starting at 6 p.m.
