Wildcats Force Fourth Set Before Falling at MVC

After dropping the first two sets, the Culver-Stockton women's volleyball team captured the third set to extend the match before falling 25-7, 25-20, 26-28, 25-16 to Missouri Valley College Tuesday night in Marshall, Mo.

The Wildcats managed just 12 total kills in the opening two sets combined before registering 13 kills in the third set victory. However, they reverted back in the final set with just10 kills and a match high seven errors in the set.

Zoe Irvin led the Wildcats individually 11 kills while Emma Daleen titled eight terminations and Victoria Pollard six kills. Lael Temple garnered a team-best 16 set assists, followed by Lauren Bloom's 15 assists.

Pollard and Jaysie Baez were in double figures in digs with Pollard gathering 13 digs while Baez registered 11 digs. Mikayla Ziemianski led the Wildcat defense at the net with four blocks, including two solo stuffs.

The Wildcats are set to play their final road match of the season this Friday, Oct. 24, art Peru State College in Peru, Neb. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
