Women's Volleyball Swept by Park in Home Match
The Culver-Stockton women's volleyball lost a Heart of America Athletic Conference match to Park University Friday night at Charles Field House.
The Pirates posted a 25-16, 25-20, 25-19 sweep to drop the Wildcats to 7-18 overall and 2-11 in the conference. Park improved to 13-6 overall and 9-3 in the Heart.
Layla Lojas paced the Wildcat offensive attack with 10 kills and an assist. Victoria Pollard added nine terminations and had a hitting percentage of .333, while Zoe Irvin totaled eight kills.
Lauren Bloom and Lael Temple combined to register 31 of the 33 set assists with Bloom garnering 16 assists. Bloom also had two of the Wildcats' three service aces and was one of five players with four digs.
The Wildcats are right back in action tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 18, against MidAmerica Nazarene University at Charles Field House. Saturday's match is the Wildcats' Pink Out match for cancer awareness. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.
