Women's Volleyball Drops Home Match to Missouri Valley

The Culver-Stockton and Missouri Valley women's volleyball teams split the first two sets Saturday afternoon before Valley claimed the next two sets to post a 25-17, 19-25, 25-21, 25-8 victory over the Wildcats at Charles Field House.

The Wildcats had a balanced offensive attack with four players combining for 30 of their 39 total kills in the match. However, the Wildcats also garnered 31 attack errors for a success rate of just 6.3 percent for the match.

Victoria Pollard was the top attacker for C-SC with nine kills followed by eight terminations from Emma Daleen. Layla Lojas added seven terminations, and Mikayla Ziemianski contributed six kills.

Defensively, Jaysie Baez and Pollard were each in double figures in digs with 12 and 11, respectively.  Ziemianski finished with five total blocks, including two solo stuffs, to lead the defense at the net.

The Wildcats, now 6-13 overall and 2-8 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, is slated to play at Missouri Baptist University this Tuesday, Oct. 7, in St. Louis, Mo. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
