WWU Defeats Women's Volleyball for Second Time in 10 Days
William Woods University defeated the Culver-Stockton women's volleyball team in four sets for the second time in 10 days Saturday night at Charles Field House.
The Wildcats came out flat in the first two sets and was down two sets in a blink, falling 25-12 and 25-11.
Like the loss to Fulton on Sept. 16, the Wildcats captured the third set 25-17; however, could not carry that momentum over to the fourth set as the Owls completed the victory by score of 25-17.
Emma Daleen led the Wildcat attack with 13 kills on just 21 attempts. Daleen had two attack errors and finished with a .524 hitting percentage. Layla Lojas and Zoe Irvin each registered six terminations.
The Wildcats, now 6-11 overall and 2-7 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, is scheduled to play a non-conference match this Thursday, Oct. 2, at Columbia College in Columbia, Mo. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
