Peppler Sets PR in 5000

Culver-Stockton College freshman Erin Peppler tuned up for the NAIA Outdoor Championships by recording a personal best time in the 5,000-meter run during the University of Saint Francis Fighting Chance meet in Joliet, Ill., Friday night.

Peppler, who qualified for the nationals in the 5,000 race walk, registered a time of 21:15.32 in the 5,000 run, besting her previous best of 23:04.70 in that event. Peppler finished 19th overall in her section.

Peppler is scheduled to compete in the 5,000 race walk on Thursday, May 21, at the NAIA Outdoor Championships in Asheville, N.C. The event is tentatively scheduled to begin at 4:45 p.m. (EST).
