Peppler Posts Two Top 10 Performances at Central Invitatiional
The Culver-Stockton women's track and field team participated in the Central Dutch Invitational at Central College in Pella, Iowa.
Erin Peppler posted a pair of finishes inside the program's top 10 all-time performance marks during the meet. She set a personal best and the fifth-best time in program history in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 13:42.61, and she posted the eighth-fastest time in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:41.80.
Abagail Mooney performed well in several events. Mooney recorded the fourth-fastest time in program history in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing the dash in 18 seconds. In the field, Mooney placed fourth overall in the high jump with a leap t of 4 feet 9 inches.
Mooney also competed in the shot put and the javelin on busy day for the sophomore from Silex, Mo. Mooney placed 20th in the javelin with a throw of75 feet, 10 inches, while placing 32nd in the shot with a toss of 25 feet 9 ½ inches.
The Wildcats are scheduled to compete in the Central Methodist Invitational Thursday and Friday, April 2-3, in Fayette, Mo.
