Four Lacrosse Players Named to All-Heart Team; Holm Recognized as Top Freshman
The Culver-Stockton College women's lacrosse team placed four players on the 2025 Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference team, the league announced Wednesday. In addition, the Wildcats received three individual awards in conference voting.
Midfielder Kaelin Quarles and attacker Addison Holm were named to the first team, while defenders Katie De Craene and Madie Jones were named to the second team. Additionally, Holm was named Freshman of the Year by league coaches.
In addition, Head Coach Caitlin Erickson was recognized as the Coach of the Year for the second time in her career, while Assistant Coach Madison Reed was named the Assistant Coach of the Year for the second straight year.
Quarles, a sophomore from Henderson, Nev. (Coronado HS), led the Wildcats with a school record 74 goals during the regular season, which was tied for third in the NAIA. Quarles added 17 assists for a school record 91 points, which was fourth in the NAIA. Quarles also led the NAIA with 63 groundballs, caused 37 turnovers, which was fourth in the NAIA, and controlled 51 draws. She was named the Heart and NAIA Player of the Week on March 24 during the season.
Holm, a freshman from Lake St. Louis, Mo. (Timberland HS), set a school record for freshmen with 66 goals, 19 assists and 85 points. Holm was ranked fourth in the NAIA in goals and tied for seventh in points. Defensively, Holm collected 51 ground balls, which was seventh in the NAIA, and controlled 49 draws.
De Craene, a junior from Clarksville, Tenn. (St. Francis HS), played in all 16 regular season games for the Wildcats, registering 28 groundballs and 18 caused turnovers, which was eighth in the league. De Craene also recorded one goal during the season.
Jones, a freshman from Imperial, Mo. (Fox HS), played in all 16 regular season games for the Wildcats, registering 20 groundballs and 16 caused turnovers, which was 13th in the league.
The Wildcats finished the season with an 8-8 overall record and a 4-4 mark in the Heart. The eight victories are the most in program history, surpassing the previous mark of six victories set during the 2023 and 2024 campaigns.
