Women's Lacrosse Sets Victory Mark with Win over Midland

The Culver-Stockton College women's lacrosse team earned its third consecutive victory with an 18-4 romp over Midland University in a Heart of America Athletic Conference match Thursday afternoon in Fremont, Neb.

The victory improves the Wildcats to 7-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The seventh victory also sets a new school record for victories, surpassing the six victories in 2023 and 2024.

The Wildcats started strong and led 5-1 after the first quarter. C-SC added seven more goals in the second period and led 12-2 at the intermission. Addison Holm scored four of her team-high six goals in the opening half. Additionally, Holm finished with four assists for a total of 10 points.

Leading scorer Kaelin Quarles added five goals and three assists for eight total points. Tennesyn Rohman registered three goals, while Bella Olson totaled two goals and an assist for three points. Katie De Craene and Kaliegh Poe also added a goal each.

C-SC outshot Midland 27-10 in the game with 22 of those shots being on goal. Midland recorded 35 turnovers with the Wildcats forcing 25 of them. Quarles led the defense with eight caused turnovers. That tied a school record set by Anaya Lopez against Saint Ambrose last season.

In addition, Quarles also garnered nine groundballs, tying a school record set by Lopez against Midland last season.

The Wildcats are scheduled to play at Benedictine College this Monday, March 31, in Atchison, Kan. The game with the Ravens, ranked second in the NAIA Top 10 poll, is slated to start at 4 p.m.
