The Culver-Stockton College women's golf team competed in the Missouri Valley College Fall Invitational at Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall, Mo., Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 25-26.

The Wildcats finished third overall among the six teams competing in the event, recording a 36-hole score of 739. Columbia College won the event with a two-day score of 656, while William Woods finished with a 691.

Emily Grodjesk led the Wildcat contingent for the second straight tournament, carding a 25-over 169. Grodjesk shot 85 and 84 over the two days on the par 72 course.

Hannah Matrisch recorded a 40-over 184, shooting 91 the first day and 93 the second day, while Natalie Ames shot 47-over 191, shooting 93 the first day. Allie Hayden carded a 51-over 195 for 36 holes and Gabby Beffa shot 223 (114-109).

Three other players participated as individuals in the tournament with Sara Gruenewald carding a 113-117-240 for 36 holes, while Addison Wetzel shot 109-118-217, and Kyndall Crim carded a 111-105 216 over two days.

The Wildcats are back in action Oct. 9-10 at the Saints Classic in South Bend, Ind. The tournament, hosted by Holy Cross College, will be contested at Warren Golf Course on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.
