Women's Bowling Records Top 10 Finish at Leatherneck Classic

The Culver-Stockton women's bowling team recorded a 10th place finish at the two-day Leatherneck Classic held at the Cherry Bowl Nov. 8-9 in Rockford, Ill.

The Wildcats registered a 7,172 pin count for the weekend, just missing bracket play by 36 pins. Judson (Ill.) was the top qualifier with a 7,688 pin count.

Rachel Moore just missed being named to the all-tournament team, finishing sixth overall with 1,033 total pins and an average of 206.6. Jersey Lessenger placed 50th overall with a pin count of 889 and an average of 177.8, while Katelin Valentine was 59th with a total of 873 pins and an average of 174.6.

The Wildcats are scheduled to return to action Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6-7, in the Cougar Classic at AMF Town and Country Lanes in Columbia, Mo.
