Women's Bowling Place Sixth at Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge
The Culver-Stockton women's bowling team had four players finish in the top 33 individually to claim sixth place in the team competition at the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge last Saturday and Sunday in Lawrence, Kan.
The Wildcats finished with 6,607 total pins over the five team games and the 16 baker games to earn the sixth seed and a spot in the single elimination tournament late Sunday afternoon. However, the stay was short as Lindenwood eliminated the Wildcats in the opening round.
C-SC garnered 4,157 total pins in the five team games Saturday, averaging 831.4 pins per game. The Wildcats then registered 2,450 total pins in the baker games for an average of 153.1 pins per game.
Individually, Rachel Moore led the Wildcats with a 21st place finish with 857 pins or an average of 171.4 pins per game. Natalee Alberts placed 23rd overall with 852 total pins, or an average of 170.4 pins per game.
Andi Woods posted a 25th place finish with 849 total pins, while Katelin Valentine garnered a 33rd place finish with 815 total pins. Woods averaged 169.8 pins per game, and Valentine averaged.163 pins per game.
The Wildcats are scheduled to return to action on Nov. 8-9, when they compete in the Leatherneck Classic in Rockford, Ill.
