Women's Bowling Opens Season with 13th Place Finish; Moore Fourth Individually
The Culver-Stockton women's bowing team opened its 2025-26 campaign with a 13th place finish at the season-opening Columbia 300 Western Shootout in Indianapolis, Ind., Saturday and Sunday.
Junior Rachel Moore earned all-tournament team honors with a fourth place individual finish after registering 1,273 total pins in six team games Saturday. Moore averaged 212.2 pins per game. She recorded four games of 200 or more, including a high of 267 in the sixth and final game of the day.
As a team, the Wildcats garnered 8,116 total pins between six team games Saturday and 16 baker games Sunday. C-SC had 5,035 pins, an average of 839.2 pins per game, Saturday, and totaled 3081 pins in 16 baker games, an average of 192.6 per game.
In addition to Moore, Andi Woods had a fine opening weekend with a 57th place finish in the tournament. Woods tallied 1,034 pins in six games, an average of 172.3 pins per game. Jersey Lessenger was the only other player to bowl six games, scoring 942 total pins and finishing 87th overall.
The Wildcats are slated to return to action next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18-19, at the Midwest Collegiate Championships in Wichita, Kan.
