Women's Bowling Puts Three on All-Conference Team

The Culver-Stockton College women's bowling team placed three bowlers on the 2025 Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference Team, the league announced Sunday.

Rachel Moore was named to the first team for the second consecutive season, while Jasmine Saunders and Jersey Lessenger were each named to the third team. For Saunders it was the fourth straight year she has been named to the all-conference team.

Moore, a sophomore from Keokuk, Iowa (Keokuk HS), appeared in all eight events and bowled in all 38 games for the Wildcats. She registered two first place finishes, winning at the Warhawk Open and the Columbia Cougar Clash, five top five finishes and six top 10 finishes. Moore averaged 201.26 pinfalls per game, including 207.9 pins in tier one events.

Saunders, a senior from Keokuk, Iowa (Keokuk HS), bowled in all 38 games for the Wildcats, registering an average of 176 per game. She garnered one top 10 finish, and four top 25 finishes this season. Saunders, who has twice been named to the second team and once to the first team, had her best finish at Columbia Cougar Clash with a sixth place finish.

Lessenger earned her first postseason honor of her career after she appeared in eight events and 38 games this season, averaging 178 per game. Lessenger had two top five finishes, two top 10 finishes and five top 25 finishes. Her best outing was at the Cedar Valley Invitational where she placed fifth overall with an average of 208.33.      

The Wildcats received the automatic bid to the NAIA National Bowling Championships for the winning the Heart of America Athletic Conference title on Sunday. The national tournament will be held March 20-22 at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Mich.
