Moore Named Bowler of the Week after Hoosier Classic Performance

Culver-Stockton College sophomore Rachel Moore earned the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Bowler of the Week for the second time this season after her performance at the Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, Ind., last weekend.

Moore, of Keokuk, Iowa (Keokuk HS), earned her fourth career player of the week honor after securing a third place finish in a field of 409 bowlers in the regular season ending tournament held at the Western Bowl. Moore totaled 1,136 pins in her five games for an average of 227.2 pins per game.

Moore opened the day by rolling a 221 game and then followed that up with 243 and 259 games in games two and three, respectively. She fell off a bit, registering a 190 in game four; however, finished strong in the final game with a 223. Moore finished 62 pins out of first place.

Moore, who earned all-tournament accolades for her top five finish, has four all-tournament nods this season and 12 all-tournament selections in her two-year career.

As a team, the Wildcats finished 32nd overall among the 66 women's teams competing in the tournament with 7,257 total pins gathered between the five team games Saturday and the 15 baker games Sunday.

C-SC is scheduled to compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22-23, at AMF Town and Country Lanes in Columbia, Mo.
