Rachel Moore Named Heart Women's Bowler of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced that Rachel Moore was named the Heart Women's Bowler of the Week award Tuesday afternoon.

Moore, a freshman from Keokuk, Iowa (Keokuk HS), won the award after averaging 217.4 pins in five games to finish third overall and earn all-tournament honors last week at the Five Seasons Classic in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Moore totaled 1,087 total pins in five team games, totaling games of 200 or more in all five. Moore rolled games of 235, 221,224, 206 and 201. Moore's play helped the Wildcats finish fifth among the 14 teams competing in the event.

The all-tournament nod is Moore's second of her collegiate career, which is just four tournaments old. Moore was also named (top 5) to the all-tournament team in her inaugural tournament at the Hammer Golden Eagle Invitational in Rockford, Ill., Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

The Wildcats are scheduled to return to action Nov. 11-12, at the Leatherneck Classic in Moline, Ill. That event is being competed at Big River Bowling.
