Culver-Stockton College junior Samantha Vetter has been named the Musco Lighting Heart of America Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for her play in four games during the week of Feb. 9-15.

Vetter, a catcher from Huxley, Iowa (Ballard HS / Rock Valley College), batted .667 with nine runs batted in as the Wildcats went a perfect 4-0 during the week. She collected eight hits in 12 at-bats and scored  seven runs during the week. Six of her eight hits went for extra bases, including two doubles and four triples, for a 1.500 slugging percentage.

In 10 games this season, Vetter is hitting .393 with 11 runs batted in. She has a .750 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .419.

The Wildcats, who are currently 6-4 overall this season, are off until Saturday, Feb. 28 when they play Science and Arts (Okla.) and Mission (Mo.) on the first day of the Branson Showtime Classic in Branson, Mo.
