Softball Manages Five Hits in Two Losses at St. Ambrose Tourney
The Culver-Stockton softball team is still trying to find its offense after dropping two games on the first day of the Dome Tournament at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, Saturday morning.
The Wildcats managed two hits in a 6-3 setback to Saint Ambrose in the tournament opener. In their second game, the Wildcats collected three hits in a 13-1 loss to St. Xavier University.

After the Bees took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the inning, the Wildcats tied the game in the third inning when Tiffany Lepic walked to start the inning. Lepic stole second, moved to third on a groundout and scored when Hunter Huddle reached on an error by the third baseman.
Saint Ambrose re-gained the lead in the fourth with a pair of runs to make it 4-2. The Wildcats closed to within 4-3 in the sixth when Huddle hit a ball to right that was misplayed by the right fielder, allowing Huddle to circle the bases.
