Men's Cross Country Set Personal Marks at Seminole Valley Stampede

The Culver-Stockton men's cross country team set three personal marks during the running of the Seminole Valley Stampede at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Saturday morning.

As a team, the Wildcats placed 22nd among the 25 teams competing in the event with a total time of 2:50.09. C-SC finished with 666 points, well behind race winner Aquinas (Mich.) which had a team time of 2:06.15 and 64 points.

Individually, sophomore Jailan Reynaga was the top finisher for the Wildcats, placing 166th overall, covering the 8-kilometer distance in a time of 29:08.1. Freshman Shivneel Dutt set a personal best time of 30:50.4 in finishing 211th overall, while Chase Lake was 222nd overall with a time of 31:35.8.

Blake Thompson and Russell Amberson also set personal marks during the race. Thompson registered a time of 31:51.1 in finishing 227th overall, while Amberson was 259th overall with a time of 46:38.0.

The Wildcats are back in action next week, Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Trojan Invitational on the campus of Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Mo. The men's race is scheduled for 11:45 a.m.
