Men's Volleyball Drops Five Setter to Morningside
Morningside University outscored the Culver-Stockton men's volleyball team 15-8 in the fifth set to defeat the Wildcats and earn a Heart of America Athletic Conference road victory at Charles Field House in Canton, Mo., Friday night.
The Wildcats, still searching for their first league victory, looked primed to pick up that victory after winning two of the first three sets. However, the Mustangs pulled out a fourth set victory en route to a 26-24-22-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-8.
Zach Kowalewicz led a balanced Wildcat attack with 11 terminations on 16 attempts. Kowalewicz committed just two errors for a .562 attack percentage. Henry Reeves and Clyde Harold garnered nine kills each. Matt Reese totaled 45 set assists while Riko Davis recorded four service aces.
Defensively, the Wildcats put two players in double figures in digs with Wyatt McCullough leading C-SC with 14 while Cikeng Lee added 11 digs.
The Wildcats conclude the weekend with another home match Saturday, March 22, against Dordt University at Charles Field House. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
