Wildcat Track and Field Participate in CMU Open
The Culver-Stockton men's track and field team performed in the Central Methodist Open track meet Saturday< March 21, in Fayette, Mo.
Judah Rivers garnered a pair of top 10 finishes in two events, placing third in the 400-meter dash with a time 49.92 seconds. He also had a ninth place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.25 seconds.
Also on the track, the Wildcats got a fifth place finish in the 400-meter hurdles from Treyvon Louis who recorded a time of 59.74 seconds.
In the field events, Jayden Ferdinand had three top 10 finishes in the hammer throw, shot put and discus. In the discus, Ferdinand placed sixth with a throw of 119 feet, seven inches, placed eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 137 feet, seven inches, and eighth in the shot put with a throw of 38 feet, 11 inches.
Elsewhere, Logan Lucas competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase in the Miner Invitational at the University of Missouri-Rolla. He finished first overall with a time of 9:47.48.
The Wildcats are scheduled to compete in the Central College Invitational this Saturday, March 28, in Pella, Iowa. The field events are slated to begin at 11 a.m.
