Thompson, Mallett Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes for Men's Track

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2024 Daktronics NAIA Men's Track & Field Scholar-Athletes. Milligan (Tenn.) had the highest number of honorees with 26 and was followed by Dordt (Iowa) with 21 honorees of its own.

Culver-Stockton College placed two athletes on the list. Junior Blake Thompson was named for the second consecutive year while sophomore Drew Mallett was named for the first time in his career. 

The 2024 list features 873 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
