Men's Soccer Blanked at No. 25 Missouri Valley
The Culver-Stockton men's soccer team was limited to four total shots in a 3-0 road loss to 25th-ranked Missouri Valley College Saturday afternoon at Gregg-Mitchell Field in Marshall, Mo.
Of the four shots the Wildcats got off against the Vikings, only Tobias Vales was able to put his shot on frame. Irgen Hasanaj recorded a team-best two shots overall, though none neither one was on goal.
The Wildcats did manage to register more corner kicks than the hosts, garnering a 6-5 edge overall, including a 4-1 margin in the opening half.
The Vikings totaled 19 shots overall and nine shots on goal. C-SC goalkeeper Ricardo Fischbach made six saves in the game. The Wildcats allows one goal in the first half and two goals in the second 45 minutes of action.
The Wildcats are slated to play at 16th-ranked Grand View University this Wednesday, Sept. 24, in Des Moines, Iowa. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
