Men's Soccer Drops Road Match at Missouri Baptist

The Culver-Stockton men's soccer team registered just one shot in the second half of a 3-0 Heart of America Athletic Conference loss to Missouri Baptist University Saturday night in St. Louis, Mo.

Overall, the Wildcats were outshot 15-5 and had just one shot on goal, which came in the opening half by Tim Mathys. The Spartans dominated the first half with an 11-4 edge in shots. In the second half, scoring opportunities were limited for both teams with the Spartans holding a 4-1 edge. However, both shots on goal by the Spartans resulted in goals.

C-SC goalkeeper Ricardo Fischbach kept the Wildcats in the game in the first half, making all seven of his saves in the first 45 minutes of the game.

The Wildcats, now 1-3-3 overall and 0-2-1 in the Heart, will welcome Mount Mercy University to Ellison Poulton Stadium this Wednesday, Sept. 17. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
