Houston Makes 12 saves in Loss to CMU

Two-time defending NAIA national champion Central Methodist University outshot the Culver-Stockton College men's soccer team 29-3 in a 3-0 victory over the Wildcats Wednesday night at Ellison Poulton Stadium.

The Eagles, who are undefeated at 9-0 overall, collected 14 shots in the first half and 15 shots in the second half in earning the shutout. The Wildcats, who didn't get a shot in the first half, was able to register three good opportunities in the second half while trailing 1-0.

The Eagles were just a swarm in the attacking zone, finishing with 17 corner kicks in the game, one which led directly to a goal.

C-SC goalkeeper Ryan Houston was fantastic despite the constant pressure put on by the Eagles. Houston 12 saves in the game and the Wildcats had 13 saves overall as the defense was able to block a shot at the goal line.

The Wildcats are scheduled to play at Baker University this Saturday, Nov. 7, in Baldwin City, Kan. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. at Liston Stadium on the Baker University campus.
