Men's Golf Ends Fall Season at Heart Preview
The Culver-Stockton College men's golf team placed 10th at its final tournament of the fall season Tuesday afternoon in Olathe, Kan.
The Wildcats carded a 36-hoie total of 711 to finish 135 strokes over par during the two-day Heart of America Athletic Conference Preview Tournament at Nicklaus Golf Club at Lionsgate. MidAmerica Nazarene won the event with score of 9-over 585, finishing 27 strokes ahead of second place Mount Mercy.
Individually, Jacob Thomas led the Wildcat fivesome with a two-day total of 24-over 168, good for 42nd place. Brady Walker carded a 36-hole total of 25-over 169 to place 43rd on the par 72 course.
Brevin Wilson finished 54th overall with a score of 39-over 183, shooting 95 and 88 in his two rounds. Leighton Meeker shot 50-over 194, carding identical 97s, to place 56th overall, while Austin Strubbe finished 57th overall with a two-total of 52-over 196.
The Wildcats are scheduled to resume their season in early March for their spring competition season.
