Men's Bowling Ends First Semester at Cougar Clash
The Culver-Stockton men's bowling team wrapped up the first semester of competition with a sixth place finish in the Cougar Clash at Columbia College Saturday and Sunday in Columbia, Mo.
The Wildcats totaled 3,595 pins in four team games on Saturday afternoon. After rolling games in the 800s in the first three games, C-SC finished strong with 1,070 pins in the final game.
On Sunday, the Wildcats garnered 3,017 pins in 16 baker games to finish with 6,612 total pins for the two day event. C-SC averaged 188.6 pins per game in the baker games.
Individually, Jake Evitts has a strong weekend with an eighth place finish overall. Evitts finished with 829 total pins in four team games, an average of 207.4. He rolled games of 204 and 277.
Griffin Roake earned a top 25 finish, placing 19th overall with an overall total of 772 pins in four games, or an average of 193. Phillip Heuser was 37th overall with 693 pins while Hunter Julin tallied 677 pins to place 46th overall.
The Wildcats will break for the holidays before returning to action Jan. 17-18 at the Kegal ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic in Addison, Ill.
