Men's Bowling Place Three in Top 36 at Jayhawk Challenge

The Culver-Stockton men's bowling team participated in the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26, in Lawrence, Kan.

The Wildcats opened the weekend with a strong performance in the five team games, garnering 4,807 total pins, averaging 961 pins per game. On Sunday, C-SC struggled in the bake games, recording 2,239 total pins in 16 games for an average of 139 per game. 

That gave the Wildcats a total of 7,739 pins overall and placed them 11th among the 17 team competing. Wichita State earned the top spot with 8,847 total pins.

Jake Evitts continued to play well for the Wildcats, earning a top 20 finish with an 18th place overall total of 1,029 total pins. Evitts averaged 205.8 pins per game and rolled games of 233 and 224.

Levi Staley finished 26th overall with a five-game total of 1,013 total pins or an average of 202.6 pins per game. Staley had a high game of 249. Griffin Roake finished 36th overall with a total of 987 pins. He rolled games of 214 and 211 while averaging 197.4 pins per game.

After competing three straight weekends, the Wildcats will take this weekend off before returning Nov. 8-9 at the Leatherneck Classic in Rockford, Ill.
