Football Adds Two Staff Members

Culver-Stockton College Head Football Coach Jeff Duvendeck has announced his new staff members for the 2015 football season.

Tim McGuire comes to the Wildcat football program as the new defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. A native of Omaha, Neb., McGuire comes to C-SC after serving as the defensive secondary coach at Glenville State College last season. From 2010-13 he served as an assistant head coach and offensive coordinator for Southeast Missouri State University, and was defensive coordinator for the Redhawks from 2006-10. In 2005 McGuire was the defensive coordinator at St. Norbert College after having a 12-year stint at Indiana State. He was the Sycamores defensive coordinator from 1993-97 and head coach from 1998-2004. ISU's defensive units registered three shutouts and held opponents under 10 points on 10 occasions during McGuire's tenure. Coach McGuire also was the head coach at Morningside College in Iowa (1981-82) and worked as assistant at Navy, Northern Illinois, Kansas State and Nebraska-Omaha. McGuire played offensive guard at Nebraska from 1971-74. He received a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Nebraska and master's degree in Physical Education from Nebraska-Omaha. McGuire is a member of the American Football Coaches Association.

Shawn Henry, who has served as a volunteer assistant with the Wildcats program for two seasons, will take over as the fullbacks and tight ends coach in 2015. During his previous two years at C-SC, Henry worked with the tight ends and fullbacks in 2014 and the defensive secondary in 2013. Henry has also worked on the football staffs at SUNY-Cortland in Cortland, N.Y., and Alfred State College in Alfred N.Y.

The Wildcats open the 2015 season on the road Saturday, Aug. 29, at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan. C-SC plays its first home game of the 2015 campaign Saturday, Sept. 5, against Baker University.
