Cheer Competes in HAAC Spirit Squad Championships
Culver-Stockton College took eighth-place overall in the 2014 Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Spirit Squad Championships at Baker University's Collins Center Saturday afternoon in Baldwin City, Kan. The Wildcats totaled 38.8 points.
The Wildcats only competed in the coed cheer category with four other schools. Missouri Valley captured that competition with a score of 78.13 followed by Graceland (75.47), Baker (69.13) and MidAmerica Nazarene (50.60).
Culver-Stockton did post a victory Saturday, winning the mascot competition with a score of 11.97.
Avila University won the overall conference title (combining cheer and dance) with an overall score of 166.09. Baker was second with a score of 152.46, followed by Graceland (149.69, Missouri Valley (145.96), Benedictine (131.56), Central Methodist (128.26) and MidAmerica Nazarene (50.6).
