Davin Meier Named Heart Pitcher of the Week
Culver-Stockton College pitcher Davin Meier has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week presented by Boxout for his performance in a 1-0 victory over Graceland University Saturday afternoon.
Meier, a senior from Camp Point, Ill. (Central HS / John Wood CC), hurled a complete game, two-hit shutout in earning his first victory in five decisions Saturday against the Yellowjackets. Meier didn't allow his first hit until there was one out in the sixth inning. He walked three and struck out six to conclude his outing.
The Wildcats are scheduled to host Graceland this Tuesday, April 1, to complete the four-game series with the Yellowjackets. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. at Nichols Field.
