Concordia Completes Sweep over Wildcats with Another Power Display
One day after recording 13 extra base hits and scoring 21 runs in a sweep over the Culver-Stockton baseball team, Concordia University exceeded its output Sunday and completed a four-game sweep of the Wildcats in Fort Scott, Kan.
The Bulldogs registered 10 extra base hits, including seven doubles and three home runs, in a 16-8 victory in game one Sunday. In game two, Concordia managed just four extra base hits but collected 15 hits overall in a 16-2 mauling.
The Wildcats combined for 15 hits in the two games, but struck out 20 times overall Sunday.
Caden Power collected two hits and two runs batted in to lead the C-SC attack in the opener. Jaison Andujar added two hits and a RBI while Keli'i Price had two runs batted in.
In the nightcap, Collin Hall went 3-for-4 and accounted for the only two runs with a two-run homer in the first inning. Hall also registered a double and a single in the game. Price tallied two hits.
The Wildcats (4-10) are off until Saturday, March 11, when they open Heart of America play with a four-game series at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan. Game one is set to begin at 1 p.m.
