Baseball Loses to Lindenwood-Belleville
Lindenwood University (Ill.) pounded out 13 hits, including eight for extra bases, in a 16-3 rout of the Culver-Stockton College baseball team Wednesday night at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Ill.
The Lynx collected two doubles, two triples and four home runs to go along with their five singles. Lindenwood was also issued six walks and had one batter hit by a pitch against four Wildcat pitchers.
Lindenwood led 16-0 before the Wildcats got a two-run double from Nay Seldomridge in the sixth inning. C-SC's third run crossed the plate when Jake Pott was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the seventh inning.
Robert Kraszulyak led the Wildcat offense, which garnered nine hits, with three safeties in four at-bats. Pott was 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored, while Alex Draper was 1-for-2 with a run scored.
C-SC (12-30) is slated to host a four-game series with Missouri Valley College this Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, at Nichols Field. The Wildcats and the Vikings will play a doubleheader each day with first pitch set for 1 p.m.
