Forty-four Spring Athletes Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) proudly announces the 2026 NAIA Scholar-Athletes for spring sports. Each semester, the NAIA Scholar‑Athlete list celebrates student‑athletes who excel in both academic and athletic arenas. 

Culver-Stockton College placed 44 student-athletes on the list from the sports of baseball, softball, women's lacrosse, men's and women's track and field and men's volleyball.

Baseball led the spring sports with 15 honorees followed by softball with 10 scholar-athletes. Women's track and field garnered seven scholar-athletes, men's volleyball five scholar-athletes, women's lacrosse four honorees and men's track and field three honorees. For the 2025-26 school year, the athletic department totaled 100 NAIA scholar-athletes.  

The sport breakdown reveals that the highest number of scholar-athletes come from baseball (15), softball (10), women's track and field (7) and men's volleyball (5). Women's lacrosse had four scholar-athletes and men's track and field garnered three schola-athletes.

The following student-athletes from the sport of baseball were honored. Cameron Jehling, Carson Selk, Cole Peterson, Eoin Hubbard, Ethan Stephenson, Giancarlo Arroyro, Harry Oden, Isaiah Naylor, Jack Linenfelser, Kannon Kirk, Lance Rewerts, Liam Taylor, Luke Neely, Mason Stevenson, and Nathan Miller.

Softball athletes honored were Abi Conner, Cierra Bush, Hannah Dillbeck, Hunter Huddle, Karli Dant, Karly Leenerts, Lauren Ferguson, Payton Todd, Ryley Pecina, and Sophie Stuart.

Student-athletes from women's track and field included Abagail Mooney, Lexi Clark, Delaney Straus, Emma Berry, Mackenzie Bryan, Malia Carmack and Victoria Pollard. Men's track and field had Drew Mallett, Jace Bales and Jayden Ferdinand.

Men's Volleyball athletes honored were Brooklyn Hollander, Jack Laney, Wyatt McCullugh, Malachi Gnade, and Riko Davis, while women's lacrosse had Addison Holm, Karson Jackson, Kolbe Poos, and Tennesyn Rohman honored.  

To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. This year, the list features an impressive number of student-athletes who have met these rigorous standards.

Conference-level totals show that the Heart of America Athletic Conference (711) and Great Plains Athletic Conference (683) lead the scholar-athlete landscape, each contributing several hundred honorees. The Crossroads League (625) and Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (506) follow closely, while the Appalachian (474), Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (466), Cascade Collegiate Conference (458) and Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (413) all land in the 400 range. Rounding out the conference landscape, Frontier Conference (344) and The Sun Conference (340) boast over 300 scholar-athletes.
