Culver-Stockton College Recognized by NAIA as Five-Star Champions of Character Award Winner
Culve-Stockton College has been announced as a Five-Star Award Winner of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' Champions of Character program for the 2024-25 academic year.
Culver-Stockton is one of 121 member institutions to earn a perfect 100-point score to Gold Medal honors. It is the second straight year C-SC has earned a Gold Medallion. The Heart of America Athletic Conference was also named a Five-Star Conference award winner, as 21 conferences earned the honor for the 2024-25 academic year. Two-hundred ten institutions overall were named Five-Star Award winners, earning Gold, Silver, or Bronze medallions.
"We are proud of our student-athletes and staff commitment to the NAIA's The Right Way to Play," said Athletic Director Pat Atwell. "The Gold Medallion honor is a result of our staff and student athletes' committment to Culver-Stockton's mission to prepares students to be bold, think big, and create change through experiential learning, innovation, and community engagement."
Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.
