
Tyler Tomlinson was named Culver-Stockton College's fourth women's soccer coach in February of 2011.
Tomlinson, who also is a lecturer in communication, coached at the club level from 2000-03, directing two teams at the U16 boys level at Quincy (Ill.) United Soccer Club. Six of his former players went on to play soccer at the college level.
A 2003 graduate of Culver-Stockton, Tomlinson was a four-year starter and three-year captain as a defender/midfielder for the Wildcat soccer program. He totaled 12 career goals and 10 assists for 34 career points, and was named the most valuable player by his teammates his senior season after netting seven goals and two assists.
Tomlinson graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication, and received his master's degree in mass communication from the University of Central Missouri in 2009. He previously worked as a sports anchor at WGEM TV in Quincy, Ill., and was co-host of WGEM Sportscenter, a daily talk sports show on WGEM AM radio.
