The Culver-Stockton College women's volleyball team was swept in three sets by Central Methodist University in a makeup match at Charles Field House that was originally scheduled for Sept. 22.
The first set came down to the wire with the Eagles claiming a 25-23 victory. The Wildcats turned in a solid hitting performance, registering a .263 hitting percentage, but it wasn't enough to get the victory.
The hitting went down drastically in the second and third set as the Wildcats struggled to pass the ball on reception. CMU recorded nine service aces in the game and continually had the Wildcats off balance on service reception, leading to C-SC garnering hitting percentages of .025 and .022 in the second and third sets as the Eagles won those games 25-19 and 25-22.
The Wildcats return to action Tuesday night, Oct. 10, against 11th-ranked Grand View University at Charles Field House. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
