The Culver-Stockton College cross country teams competed in the Gary Stoner Inivitational hosted Central Methodist University at the Fayette Golf Course in Fayette, Mo., Saturday morning.
The women's team recorded 154 points and finished sixth in the six-team field. The University of Central Missouri won the event with 29 points. The men's team only had three runners competing and did not record a team score.
Renate Richardson turned in the best women's time for the Wildcats in the 5-kilometer race along the rolling hills of the Fayette track. Richardson finished 33rd overall with a time of 22:41. Katelyn Neff finished 49th overall and Samantha Shipp placed 50th overall with times of 24:54 and 25:06, respectively. Reghan McNaul finished 54th with a time of 25:57 while Lezlie Wofford finished 59th and Taylor Vaughn finished 60th overall with times of 27:49 and 27:59.
In the 6-kilometer men's race, Jordan Graves was the Wildcats' top finisher, placing 52nd overall with a time of 25:54. Miguel Obregon placed 54th overall with a time of 26:9, and Landon Ayers placed 55th overall with a time of 26:29.
Both teams will take a week off before competing at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational Sept. 22 at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill.
