The Culver-Stockton College men's golf team placed three players in the top 10 during the two-day William Penn University Fall Invitational at Edmunson Golf Course Sunday and Monday in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
The Wildcats carded a team score of 14-over 594 (286-288) to place second overall in the tournament, falling one stroke shy of overall team winner William Penn, which shot 13-over 593 (288-285). The Culver-Stockton women's golf team also participated in the women's portion of the tournament but did not register a team score.
Individually, Ryan Keller finished in a tie for third place with an even-par 140 (69-71). He was six strokes behind tournament medalist Zach Chegwidden of William Penn, who carded a 6-under 134 (66-68).
Also finishing in the top 10 was Jon Roberson, who placed tied for 7th place with a two-day total of 3-over 143 (71-72), while Devin Hobbs finished 10th overall with a two-round total of 4-over 144 (71-73).
Hunter Baggett finished in a tie for 13th place with a score of 7-over 147 (75-72). Brock Hirn tied for 39th with a score of 19-over 159, while Colton Neal, playing as an individual, finished 49th overall with a score of 23-over par.
In women's action, two players participated in the event with Tara Bradley finishing in a tie for 31`st place, registering a two-day score of 31-over 173 (88-85). Haley Barraza also competed in the event and finished in a tie for 36th place with a score of 33-over 175 (87-88).
The men's team is scheduled to compete in the NAIA National Preview at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., Oct. 17-18. The women's team has completed the fall portion of its schedule and will resume play in the spring.
