Culver-Stockton College golfer Nathan Werner has been named a 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. One hundred-sixth-five NAIA men's golfers were named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Werner, a senior business major from Lancaster, Mo. (Schuyler County HS), played four rounds this season, averaging 87.3 strokes per round. His best score was an 83. Werner is the 12th Wildcat golfer to be honored as a scholar-athlete by the NAIA. Culver-Stockton has 30 student-athletes honored as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes during the 2014-15 school year.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
