The second round of the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships was cut short by inclement weather Thursday at the Hills Course at LPGA International.
Lightning in the area forced the suspension of play just before 5 p.m. (EDT) with 80 players still on the course. Among the teams who did not finish their round was Culver-Stockton College, which still has six holes remaining in its round.
The Wildcats are still in 27th place in the 29-team field but it appears they were turning in a solid round when the weather interrupted play. C-SC is 17-over for the round and is 47-over overall.
Individually, Cody Reiber is 3-over for the round and 8-over for the tournament, tied for 90th place.
Ryan Keller made the biggest move for the Wildcats, improving 24 spots over yesterday's play. According to Golfstat, Keller is 5-over for his round and 11-over overall to sit in a tie for 109th place.
Freshman Hunter Baggett was up 13 spots and was 4-over when the round was suspended. He is currently 14-over overall and is tied for 126th place.
The second round will resume at 8 a.m. Thursday, and the third round will begin at 8:10 a.m. with teams in the same pairings as Wednesday. The Wildcats are scheduled to tee off for the third round at 1:18 p.m. (EDT). After the third round, the field will be cut to the top 17 teams and 40 individuals including ties.
